Eerie moon

Spotted a full moon with clouds the other night, grabbed the 70-200VR and took these handheld (well, I propped against the truck). The moon is so bright that only the photos with the moon partially obscured were successful. Thank goodness for shooting RAW, these came out pretty interesting.

The photos were all shot on the daylight setting, proper for a full moon (after all, it’s being lit by the sun), but the clouds make for a nice warm effect. Again, thanks to RAW format, I can switch the light balance to tungsten and get that blue night effect.
